Zetadeck vs ClickUp

ClickUp replaces your work tools. Not your money tools.

ClickUp and Zetadeck make the same promise, so the only interesting question is what each one puts inside the box. ClickUp consolidates work: tasks, docs, goals, whiteboards, chat, time tracking, and a deep hierarchy to organize all of it. On that ground it is broader than Zetadeck and it is not close. What it does not include is money. There is no bank connection, no burn, no runway, and the CRM is a list view you shape and maintain yourself. So the finance side stays where it was, and you are back to two systems that disagree by Friday. Zetadeck is deliberately narrower on project management and spends that budget elsewhere: the bank feed, a pipeline with MRR, and the docs sit on one spine, so runway is next to the work that spends it.

When ClickUp is the better call

We would rather you pick the right tool than the wrong one and churn.

  • You need deep project management: portfolio views, time tracking, whiteboards, forms, and heavy per-field customization. ClickUp is broader on all of it and Zetadeck does not set out to match it.
  • You already have an established ClickUp hierarchy and integrations across a larger team. That switching cost is real, and a board alone is not a reason to pay it.
  • You need deep specialized features: advanced marketing automation sequences, full double-entry accounting like QuickBooks or NetSuite, or a heavily customized enterprise CRM. An all-in-one trades some depth for one workspace that agrees with itself.

Questions

Both call themselves all-in-one. What is the actual difference?

What is inside the box. ClickUp consolidates work surfaces: tasks, docs, goals, whiteboards, chat. Zetadeck consolidates the operating surfaces of a company, which includes the money: a bank feed, live runway, and a pipeline with MRR on the same database as the tasks and docs.

Is Zetadeck better at project management than ClickUp?

No, and it would be silly to claim otherwise. ClickUp is deeper on project management. Zetadeck keeps a capable board and spends its complexity budget on finance and CRM being native rather than configured.

Can I move over from ClickUp?

Docs are markdown friendly, so pasted content keeps its formatting, and tasks, leads, and contacts import from CSV, which ClickUp exports. You can also start with tasks and docs only and turn on the other modules later.
